Eckert’s Apple Crumb Pie

Unbaked Pastry for one pie shell

  • 4 large tart apples
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¾ C flour
  • 1/3 C butter

Peel apples, slice and arrange in unbaked pastry shell.

Sprinkle with ½ C sugar mixed with cinnamon.  Sift remaining ½ C sugar and flour.  Cut butter into sugar and flour until crumbly.  Sprinkle over apples.  Bake in hot oven  450* about 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350* bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
